Adam graduated with an LLB and BA(Hons) from the University of Otago in 2008 and 2009. He went on to complete a PGCertLaw from the University of Auckland while working as a civil litigator. In 2016 Adam moved to Melbourne to start his LLM at the University of Melbourne, graduating in 2018. Adam worked in Melbourne as a complex insurance claims advisor in a global brokerage for a year before moving back to New Zealand.
Adam has a large array of litigation and dispute resolution experience and prides himself on building long-lasting relationships with clients. His goal is finding practical and pragmatic solutions to complex problems. Adam is experienced in alternative dispute resolution and negotiation and is a skilled advocate.
Adam has advised, investigated and assisted with complex health and safety incidents for clients and understands the complexities involved. Adam has:
- prepared investigations and advice for clients and following accidents involving motor vehicles, railway works and falls from height;
- drafted sentencing submissions for companies;
- appeared in the District and High Court on health and safety prosecutions.
Adam has also volunteered in the emergency services as a frontline ambulance officer which equips him with a great understanding of the importance of health and safety from another perspective. Adam is a member of the New Zealand Alpine Club and enjoys the outdoors and spending time with family.
Adam is based in Dunedin but travels throughout New Zealand to meet client needs wherever they may be.
